Visual Arts Curriculum Goals

To instill the students the opportunity to hone creative abilities by incorporating the arts as part of a complete education through innovation and exploration of new ideas

To develop the knowledge of various mediums of art through museum, art seminars and exhibition visits

To enable pupils to understand, appreciate and enjoy the fine arts and thereby contribute to the holistic education of the pupils
Homework policy
Homework is given based on the recommendations in the table above, however, it is subjected to the focus of the media/materials. E.g. Papercutting, digital art and ceramics have to be done in school under a teachers’ supervision because of the facilities, materials, equipment or software used

Assessment
Assessment are carried out at the end of each module, using different assessment modes: Art Making/Techniques E.g. Drawing, Colour Rendering and Etc. , Verbal and Written Critiques using Feldman’s Approach, Theory Tests, Project based on themes/stimulus where students will have to go through the processes of documenting a preparatory work prior to their final artwork.

The following assessment objectives stated in the five domains define a range of assessable qualities and skills which can be demonstrated by candidates at this level.
